I have been posting about my Birch box openings on my Instagram for a few months now and I thought that I would start blogging about each box from now on. This way I can break down each item in more detail and you guys can get a better peak of whats inside!
This months box has a beautiful butterfly theme that is in honour of new discoveries. Take a fresh approach to beauty and try something new!
Lord & Berry Ultimate lip liner in Vintage Rose, RRP £13 (for full product)
This lip liner is long wearing, water resistant and smudge proof, it’s nice to know I can feel relaxed whilst gulping down multiple cups of coffee a day! I swatched this product over an hour ago and it hasn’t budged from my hand! The colour is so beautiful, it seems very versatile, easily being paired with a day time or night time lipstick for different looks.
NUXE multi-purpose dry oil for face, body and hair. RRP, 29.50 (for full product)
I have never seen a product like this before, it is literally a moisturiser for every part of your body! How amazing is that?! It is lightly scented with a floral tone that is subtle and pretty. A perfect scent for the spring/ summer months along with making your skin shiny and soft! I am really excited to use this product, I can see it being a handbag essential.
Beautaniq Beauty nourishing mascara. RRP, £13 (for full product)
I absolutely love the fact you get a new mascara every couple of months in a Birch box, I honestly don’t remember the last time I purchased one myself. I have found some that I absolutely love though and would definitely purchase in the future. This Beautaniq mascara is for thickening and lengthening your lashes. The brush is full and thick, which is the style of mascara brush I like so I am really looking forward to trying this one! It is enriched with almond oil and oleic acid too.
Mimitika face sunscreen SPF 50, RRP £17.50 (for full product)
I have already tried this product today for our trip down the beach, it’s been so warm and sunny here all weekend! I washed and dried my face as normal then applied the sunscreen, it applied really smoothly without leaving a sticky feeling. A little product went a long way so I can see this pot lasting for the rest of the year, which is really great. Once the sunscreen had dried completely, I applied my moisturiser as normal, I couldn’t tell the difference when applying my moisturiser, my skin still felt clean, fresh and light so I am really impressed so far. It also smells really nice!
Philip Kingsley elasticizer pre-shampoo treatment. RRP £9.50 (This is a full product)
I have never tried a pre-shampoo treatment before so I am really intrigued how this will make my hair feel. I have had bleach put through my hair when I had a balayage done but it’s actually in pretty good condition anyway, but I am always on the look out for a quick product to use to keep my hair that way. The hotter months can be hard on your hair as the sun can really dry it out – especially bleached hair. It says to apply to damp hair ten minutes before a shampoo then just wash as normal, that seems pretty easy to do so I will try it out this week at some point!
I hope you have enjoyed my first Birch Box blog post! I will try and keep you updated on how I get on with each product via my Instagram stories so don’t forget to give me a follow over there!
